La mode est l'amour: Meeting Someone New ► Somer and Ellie

Somer was having a bad day, earlier today she got upset over a cup of coffee. The barista gave her the wrong cup of coffee and she went berserk, it was weird for her to just lose cool but maybe she had enough already. She talked to Beth and it made her a little okay so her mood lightened up. She yawned, she hadn’t got a cup of coffee for today so she was groggy. But since she made plans already she knew that she can’t just back out and sleep. She took some of her sketch books, she got stacks of sketchbooks so she decided she would just bring at least two or three. She left Q, her golden retriever, a bowl of water and dog food. “Be a good boy!” She told her dog, patting his head before taking her phone and the sketch books.She headed out of her room without even locking her door, she got used to the fact that Northwood is a nice place with zero percent crime. She walked towards where she and Ellie would meet, she wasn’t sure but it seems like Ellie’s a new student, and she was being friendly. And maybe she wants to check out her designs too since they’re both Fashion design majors. She dragged her feet towards the cafeteria, once she saw Ellie, she gave her a little wave. “Hey, Ellie. I’m Somer,” Somer said stretching her arm for a friendly shake.

Ellie shook Somer’s hand and grinned at the tall brunette, “Hey, what’s up?” She surveyed the lanky girl in front of her. She was extremely pretty and had very long brown hair. Definitely friend material, she thought. And she was probably pretty talented, considering the school they were at. “Sit down,” Ellie exclaimed. She bent over to grab her sketchbooks from her bag. As she opened it, she realized that her designs would probably look like amateur work to Somer. She mentally slapped herself to not be negative.

All of her fashion designs had some element of cheetah print in them; it was her trademark. Most people underestimated her because she was rebellious or pretty or something. But she was at Northwood to prove to everyone that she could succeed and have fun at the same time. She told herself if she ever turned into one of those people who is consumed by school, she would give herself a good slap. Ellie quietly sipped the cola she had ordered, and glanced at Somer. She looked kind of sad. Ellie put her hands on the table and looked directly at her, “Are you okay? I mean I don’t really know you yet, but you seem kind of depressed.”

Meeting Someone New ► Somer and Ellie

LOCATION: Langston Hall at food court table
TIME FRAME: Midday Saturday
DESCRIPTION: Somer and Ellie hang out to talk about fashion
NOTE: Erm.. okay let’s get it rolling

Ellie looked in the mirror in her dorm, fluffing her hair up. The dark red locks were still tangled from getting out of bed, but she liked it that way. She was off to meet a girl named Somer, to compare fashion designs and get to know the campus. So far, she hadn’t met many people, but she wanted to get right into the social hub of things. It couldn’t be too hard to make friends. She looked at her self in the mirror, flaunting her skinny frame.

Grabbing her large tote bag, she threw her pencils, sketchbook, and cell phone. Her key to the room was lying on her desk, and she remembered she needed to lock up behind her. Sliding it off the desk, she strode a few steps to the door. Closing it and locking it behind her, Ellie carelessly tossed the key into her bag and walked down the hallway. Since she didn’t have any form of transportation, she walked to Langston Hall. There was a food court there and she and Somer had planned to sit at a table and compare notes. She plopped down at an empty table and awaited Somer.
